In order to serve our world-class, international client we’re searching for talented Automation and Control Systems Engineers for designing and testing of electro-mechanical equipment and systems (new projects and upgrades). Involved in designing, testing, commissioning, trouble-shooting and modifying software systems and solutions to support the international clients' production and drilling rig facilities. This staff will be hired and trained to the required level by the Engineering Hub located in Almaty to serve the international oil & gas market.

Responsibilities:

- Develop electrical and controls system design solutions based on engineering principles and providing automated production solutions.

- Perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, safety systems standards, and motor controls etc.

- Build and validate systems which include pneumatic, servos, variable speed drives, electronic relays, communication networks, touch-screens, electrical breakers, and robotic integration etc.

- Provide technical support from engineering to installation, commissioning and life-of-field operation.

- Create documentation such as operations manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, test procedures and electrical drawings.

- Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.

- Responsible for successful project deliveries whether lead engineer or as part of a project team.

- Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all work completed.

- Interpreting operational interruptions, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor of Science Degree in Automation or Electrical Engineering

- Preferably with one to three years’ experience in automation, control or electrical system design utilizing Siemens, Allen Bradley, Honeywell or Yokogawa systems for oil production facilities.

- Skills in automated industrial system designs including specification of vision, power, sensor, inspection, and communications systems. Programming experience is required.

- Preferably min. 1-3 years of experience as Automation / Control Systems / Safety Systems engineer

- Preferably experience with Simatic S7 PLCs / PCS7 / WinCC Systems

- Experience within the Oil & Gas industry (onshore or offshore) is highly beneficial

- Good English skills (verbal and written) is a must

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in teams and projects is essential
